Steps

1. Pack a jar with the cucumbers, onion and dill. Leave about 1/2 an inch space at the top

2. In a small pot heat the vinegar, water, garlic and spices until the mixture comes to a simmer - and everything is fully dissolved

3. Cool the brine down, and fill the jar until everything is covered

4. Close the lid tightly and place in the fridge for at least 24 hours before eating

How to make

Ingredients

- 3 pickling cucumbers, sliced evenly

- 1/4 cup onion, sliced

- 3-5 sprigs of dill weed

- 1/2 cup vinegar (white or apple cider works)

- 1/2 cup water

- 2 cloves garlic, sliced

- 1 1/2 salt

- 1/4 tsp sugar

- 1/4 tsp whole peppercorns

- 1/4 tsp whole yellow mustard seeds
